Actions that must be avoided in Eid Al-Fitr!
Eid al-Fitr is one of the very special occasions for Muslims, the time of the year when Muslims celebrate the end the Holy month of Ramadan, families and friends gather together to perform prayers, have meals and exchange gifts.
However, some people intend to do some actions that are against the teaching of Islam and which are regarded as a kind of innovation.
One of these innovations is the belief that people must spend the night of Eid in worship, which is a completely incorrect, because this thing was not proven by Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) or by the Holy Quran, which means that people spend the night of Eid just like any other day.
Other innovation is the habit of visiting graves in both Eids; Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, because this action is completely against the purpose of Eid which is to express joy and happiness, and of course it is not likable because it is against the teachings of prophet Muhammed and the Holy Quran. Thus, instead to visiting dead people’s graves it is better to visit other family members and friends and enjoy the rituals of Eid.
Another innovation which is the mixing prayer and crowding between women and men at outdoor locations, that is regarded as a great temptation and a serious danger and this kind of crowding may lead to serious consequences like harassment. Therefore, it is much better for both men and women to have a specific place for prayers for each one of them, and try as much as possible to avoid crowded places.
Besides another serious problem about women, which is widespread nowadays and many people do not take it so seriously. The problem is about the fact that some women intend to wear a lot of makeup, perfume and none decent clothes specifically on Eid, which is a huge mistake and against the teaching of Prophet Muhammed and the teaching of Islam in general. Accordingly, women must be more decent and try to avoid such forbidden things for the sake of Allah.
To sum up, Eid has been always one the most favorite celebrations for Muslims, the reason why Muslims wait for it Eid every year to come quickly. Thus, we must avoid the actions that may spoil this special occasion and be more careful about what we should do and what we should not.
