Pro seems to be that I wouldn’t have to take pictures, list, mail etc. But do they pay enough to justify the ease of selling?

The clothes pretty much need to be current season and they don’t pay much. You haul in a lot and you haul out a lot that they won’t buy.

I brought a huge bag of stuff. They offered me less than $2 for the few things they kept.

          Total waste of my time.

            Very very low pay out.

I took some more expensive name brand items there and they were going to pay me $7 for a pair of Michael kors knee high boots in the box wore maybe twice (zero wear marks) that retailed for $250, so I packed up my more expensive items and took them home and sold said pair of boots for $150 privately.

The rest of the non expensive things I dropped off to Plato’s ended up giving me around $30 for a big trash bag (the yard size) full of clothes and accessories.

I didn’t want to bother with the cheaper things (was just going to take them to goodwill) but I did sell the more expensive things on my own.

My experience (while it’s been a few years ago) is that you get very low amounts back, usually varies based on who is working and the location, but it’s still better than nothing. Same thing with any used book store, consignment shops, etc.

If you have a few locations near you, take any rejects from one location and see if the other one takes them.
