Instead of buying cards, I took a trip to the thrift store (the one with bins- pay by the pound).

I purchased ribbons, silver bling stuff and stickers and various other items for 83 cents. I already had some blank cards. So far, I have made 7 cards.

      Each card is different.

I think I came out cheaper and decorating cards relaxes me.

Making your own cards is a calming activity as well, so, win – win!

Doing crafts used to be therapeutic for me. Now I don’t think of doing that anymore especially taking care of a special needs child.

I do not save store bought cards, but anything handmade is a treasure I keep forever! Good on you for making something worth keeping.

I draw and cut colored paper together into cards and my aunt and few others collected the ones I sent for their board long term. I did it as a sheet front and back after learning they are hanging them and write on back so they can frame if they want.
