Eid al-Fitr 2022 Celebrations and Joy With Pictures & Cards

How Muslims celebrate two different occasions after Ramadan!

Eid al-Fitr, one of the holy religious occasions in Islam celebrated by millions of people around the world, is not only special for being a religious celebration, but also for marking the end of the most sacred month of the year for Muslims; Ramadan, the month in which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset as one of the five duties of Islam along with other pillars.

During the entire month of Ramadan; the time of celebrations and joy spent with loved ones, Muslims fast every day from dawn to sunset. Thus, it is like a chance for each Muslim to strength his relationship with God through extra prayer, increased charity and generosity, and intense study of the Holy Quran.

In Ramadan Muslims families have special rituals on “Iftar”, which is the time in which Muslims break their fasting. Families gather together to have Iftar sharing different kinds of food and drinks in a delightful and remarkable atmosphere.

That’s why, despite the hardship of fasting, Muslims feel a little sad when it is over because they do not experience the same rituals they do experience during the holy month. But at the same time once Ramadan ends Muslims celebrate both the end of the month and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr Accordingly, for Muslims the end of Ramadan does not only mark one occasion but two.
