Just started a new job and the 401k doesn’t have a small cap value fund… but I can invest in ARKK!

PS. I’ll have to increase my small cap value contributions outside the 401k to maintain my overall allocation.

Maybe a 10% allocation to shoot the moon. I would not go more than that.

I would try and open a ROTH IRA (if you’re under the income limit) and get your small cap value there as well as some other funds that are hard to get in a 401k (emerging markets, ect…).

Usually 401k’s have a SP500 index fund of some kind and potentially international index fund.

Utilize the 401k for those asset classes.

Don’t miss: Apparently Robinhood has a 1% match on all Roth IRA contributions. Has anyone taken advantage of this?
