I’m all about being as frugal as possible to save money…especially with inflation making things even harder. But word of advice…

DO NOT BUY DOLLAR STORE DRAINO!!!

Saw it and thought I’d save a few bucks..

No! My sink was draining a little slow prior to use, once I used it it would NOT drain at all. Scared me and I thought it was ruined. I went today and bought the original regular draino and the sink is back to normal.

Baking soda followed by vinegar and washed down with boiling hot water. Works every time and it’s cheap.

I’m thinking maybe the dollar store product started breaking up, then the real stuff kicked in and opened drain. Just my thoughts.

Also check your pee trap because when that is clogged it can cause a lot of issues as well. My son dumped hot wax down a families sink a couple days ago. I took the sink apart down below and saved her about 1,000 dollars worth of plumbing fees.

A knowledgeable plumber will be honest with you and tell you what drank does to pipes. NEVER use drano.

The best thing Dollar tree has for clogged pipes is those long snakes. Good price for a physical barrier removal. I stopped using Drano after getting those. 9.10 times it’s hair for me. The snakes are so cheap I just pulled the hair out put the whole thing in a plastic bag and throw it away.

You know what… this happened to me last year. Dollar store draino !! It completely clogged it vs a slow drain. Had to call a professional plumber after using it.

Dollarama sells the name brand draino for $5, it’s the exact name brand that big box stores sell for between $8-$12.
