            Live below your means.
            Save and invest early.

Never ask for directions from person who is lost. In other words, make sure that the advice you were receiving is from somebody who is where you want to be.

I am 50. #1 don’t get married. #2 let the inheritance double, then think about retiring.

Understand cash flow quadrant concept and how to transition from being employee (trading time for money) to investor (money works for you).

Have self-awareness of how you envision your life. Then strategize and time bound goals to achieve your life vision. Measure your progress, avoid new and shiny objects syndrome, adjust strategy if needed (life happens). Prioritize health, relationships and experiences over material things.

You can never get the time back.

Save like mad and retire as soon as you can afford to.

It would depend on how my life looked at that moment in time. Am I happy with my job, my relationships (friends, family), myself, my finances, my investments, and many other factors.

My advice would be to examine all those factors and take action to improve whatever needs attention.
