So I’ll have an extra day or so off every week.

What would be a good side hustle/temp jobs that’s one/two days a week that goes through to the holidays (rest of year)?

And how do you get involved in it? House decorating? Snow shoveling? Any remote, online type things that are legitimate? Voter registration?

      Thanks in advance!

Use your PTO to improve yourself without worrying about making money – go for a hike, take a class, clean your garage, sleep in..

It’s not going to increase your bank account, but go visit with people in your local nursing homes. So many have no one visiting them.

Read to them, do a puzzle with them.

Just your presence is enough to brighten their day.

I highly recommend taking this time to look for another job. Your employer’s business strategy is not a good sign and layoffs could be next!

Why not just ENJOY the time off?

It’s all about balance. How about booking some short trips, exploring your city, have a day to do nothing?

Hmm if it were me I’d take care of pesky things around the house, generally relax, maybe volunteer. If it can’t be near my hourly wage I am better off relaxing.

Probably not enough time to get a side hustle going, they take time to build up. I’d just look for a seasonal job that meets your schedule.

I paid someone $60 to put up my Xmas tree (fake) and put lights and garland on it. Took her about 2 hours and she did a fabulous job. Fluffed it up and the lights and garland were perfect. I just had to put my decorations on.

If you’re good at that, it can be good money. Also putting up outdoor lights.

When it gets close to Xmas, offer to wrap gifts if you’re good at it. I also have an issue where I can’t find any place to hide my kids’ gifts. A wrap-storage-delivery service would be great.
