I have a carton of eggs that has a stamp date of today. I purchased the eggs about two weeks ago. It doesn’t say expiration date or sell by date on the carton..

      Just today’s date.

I have about 6 eggs left and don’t want to waste them. How long does eggs last after it’s packed date?

They can be frozen (remove from shell & portion out what # you’ll use in various recipes. (Pancakes, baking etc) you could also make egg sald, deviled eggs or cream puffs.

I’m 70 years old and I’ve hardly ever had to throw an egg away and I’ve kept them WAY beyond any date on the carton. It’s fine as long as it looks and smells good. I would break them one at a time separately in a bowl instead of breaking them into a cake mix or something like that.

The float test won’t tell you they are bad only how old they are. If they float, then they will be easier to peal if they are hard boiled.

Do water test, if egg floats it’s bad. If it sinks it’s good.

Forever – they are fine at least another month.

Eggs last a long time. You will know if spoiled.
