Compared grocery prices between Walmart and Aldi in my area. Shocked to realize Walmart had the cheaper prices. Social media trend is that Aldi is the cheapest of all lol.

I do understand that this is not the case for everyone.

I like Walmart for many items but won’t use the produce. If you have a WinCo there produce is cheap and great quality.

I’m not a fan of Aldi’s sine inflation hit. Their prices went up more than everyone else’s especially since Kroger has such good sales/digital coupons. Aldi’s is also so limited on what they have available. Mine even stopped having skim milk.

Their biggest draw is their non-food items that they get but try not to spend money or clutter my house up so I hardly ever go there.

Aldi use to be the cheapest. Not now.

For some things, yes. Went to Aldi this week and added everything up in the Walmart cart (made sure to make sure the quantities were the same i.e. 2 lb of pasta) and we saved $9 by going to Aldi.

It seems the milk at Walmart goes bad before the expiration date. It is frustrating!

I only buy certain things at Aldi.. it’s a get in and get out type trip lol. Otherwise, it’s not an overall savings for our household.

I shop at Aldi more than anywhere else. I don’t care for Walmart, it’s so cringe. Kroger is so expensive, as is Meijer (some of the sale items at Meijer are good prices).

This is one of those cases where you really have to know your prices all over, and what’s a good deal and what isn’t.

I was excited to find Doritos at Aldi. Purchased them and went next door to Walmart. I compared the prices and spent $1.18 more on the same size bag!

Certain things for me are cheaper there. I go to different stores but Aldi is a staple for certain things like produce, bread, snacks, cheese, bacon etc

Aldi use to be cheaper, but lately they aren’t much, if any, cheaper than Walmart unfortunately and if you factor in time and gas to drive to Aldi (15-20miles), it doesn’t make since most of the time.

Before covid Aldi had cheaper prices in my area. Now most things at Walmart are a few, to several cents cheaper, but it adds up to a several dollar savings. We’re seniors on a fixed income so every dollar counts.
