Let’s talk batteries. I have an air wick air freshener. Actually 3. They take 3 batteries. I am changing batteries weekly.

What do you all recommend for batteries that last? I have tried Duracell, an energizer, HD and they all do not last past a week.

      Thanks..

        Stop using them.

Consider finding source of unpleasant odor rather than masking issue. Fragrances intolerable to some. Others sensitive to fragrances.

I use all rechargeable batteries. They are a little more expensive going in but I am using the same rechargables from 2007.

My question is why are you using air wick air fresheners? I don’t think I’d want to be breathing in what they emit.

How often are your air wicks set to go off that will make a big difference in how ling batteries last.

I switched from those to essential oil diffusers because of how expensive they are & all of the fragrance is actually toxic for humans.

Plug into the wall, only need a small amount of water & a few drops of oil.

                    Rechargeables.

                    Specifically Eneloops.

A kit with the charger is probably the most economical option to start out with.

Get the ones made in Japan over the Chinese ones.

They’re a higher up front purchase but they’ll make up for it quickly.

You might have to change batteries more often depending on the use.

But then again you might not.

Despite a lower rated capacity the rechargeables are better at high draw applications than alkalines and can sometimes actually last longer before dying.

But usually you’ll have to replace them sooner.

However you just keep a spare charged and charge the dead ones over and over and over and can keep doing this for years with no additional costs save for the small amount of electricity used.

Get a diffuser and use pure essential oils. It will save you in health benefits and money in the long run.

Turn down the spray setting. I have one of those in my basement, even on high batteries last months.

I agree with Ms Pierce. Those things are slow, excruciating death for your lungs. Please try something more naturally healthy for your scent needs.

I highly recommend for your health you stop using them. They are full of chemicals that you’re pouring into your body and everyone that enters your home.

Think about this. A roomful of people smell a terrible chemical in the room. Nobody can identify it and everyone vacates the room to protect themselves from harm from this chemical.

But now they use unknown chemicals that smell good. People spend their hard earned money to breathe and absorb these chemicals into their body. Willingly!

Just because they make the chemicals smell good doesn’t mean it’s healthy for you.

Stepping off my soapbox now. Hope I’ve encouraged someone to go scent free.

I use Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries and have my Glade air freshener set to the lowest timed setting. It still works well but the batteries last probably 5-6 weeks before needing to be recharged. I run out of the spray before I run out of battery.

I bought a bunch of AAA rechargeable batteries off of Amazon. Amazon brand. I’ve been using the same batteries over and over and over again for the last six years! Highly recommend rechargeable batteries.
