I always am left with streaks and lint. I’ve been using store bought glass cleaners (the blue liquid) and paper towels. Soooo frustrating. Plus, I’m short (5’) so I can only clean up to a certain height. I’ll get on a 3-step ladder if I have to…but I’m 74.
I figured this community would be able to help this old gal. Thank you in advance for your kind advice.
AmberMicrofiber towel!!!
EmilyI have the same issues with streaks when I use paper towels and Windex. I have a glass cleaning cloth from Norwex that I bought 10 years ago and it’s the only thing that doesn’t leave streaks. And what’s also great is you don’t need any cleaning solution. You just dampen the cloth.
I bet there are tons of similar glass cleaning cloths on Amazon or at your local Walmart or Target.
McKennaThe windex with vinegar in it and paper towels, followed by a pillowcase to get the extra lint and buff any extra streaks out.
EmilyI 2nd Sprayaway. The only one we use!
StevieWater and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle and an old, clean rag. I clean houses for a living and this saves time and money!
EmilyI use a Norwex window cloth. Don’t need any spray or cleaner. Just water. It was not cheap but last a very very long time.
AmandaGlass cleaner it’s in a white aerosol can with a blue lid. You can literally wipe with anything and it will be streak free as long as your rag is clean.
Otherwise, a squeegee because your short or use newspaper with any other cleaner like Windex or dish soap etc. Easy question! Next
Don’t miss: Thinking about getting reflective daytime privacy film put on the windows
CherylI’ve attached paper towels to a stiffer dry mop, spray and use it to reach higher windows. Especially outdoors. Way better than ladder.
NicoleE cloths on Amazon, I’ve had mine for YEARS, I clean stainless steel, house windows, car windows, anything that would otherwise leave a streak. Get a pack of them and use them anywhere, you just use them damp with water. When washing I wash with certain towels and vinegar on a sanitizing load, no detergent. Don’t buy norwex, they’re a joke.
