Our oven broke and I’m having a hard time planning without it. I do have a stove top, air fryer, crockpot, grill, and microwave.

Sausage, potatoes, onions, green beans, garlic, butter, salt, pepper all in a skillet.

Sliced chicken, bell peppers, onions, sautéed with butter and fajita seasoning in a skillet and put over white rice.

I’d just use the crockpot instead. Practically anything you can make in the oven, you can make in a crockpot! My Mom made meatloaf in hers recently and she said it was amazing so then my Grandma tried it and she said the same thing so that’s something that’s been on my radar to try in my crockpot.

I rarely use my oven especially in the spring/summer. Cheeseburgers… Casseroles in the crockpot (meat can be cooked on the stovetop). Roast Beef/Pork Loin/ those kind of hunk meats can be cooked in the crockpot. Chili/Vegetable soups can be cooked in the crockpot. I love my crockpot.

Yesterday it started a week of hotter weather so I fried up a pound of hamburg meat with onions and garlic. Plus fried up chicken breast strips. I will use these in a lot of meals all week. Already added taco sauce to some of the burger for tacos. Will likely use the rest of that meat in a pasta dish. There’s a few meals I can throw together with the 2# of chx breast strips.

Every other week I fry up a huge pan if fried rice and throw in whatever veggie leftovers in the fridge. I seldom use my oven in hot weather.

I heat a can of cannalini beans with olive oil, garlic, oregano, a pinch of salt and some butter.

Toss that with some cooked pasta.

Goes great with a simple salad.

We went without an oven for 2 and 1/2 years. I refused to buy a new one until we could afford the one I wanted. The only thing we were limited on was big casseroles and a turkey!

I haven’t found anything I could bake in the oven that can’t be made in the air fryer. Times and Temps need adjusting, but Google has been really helpful.
